self-compassion sanctuary: yoga & art retreat

We will come together to co-create a self-compassion sanctuary among the juniper trees for this opportunity to nourish the soul through embodiment, informative workshops, personal reflection, group connection and time to just be among the healing potential of nature.

We will explore yoga philosophy as a way to create a radical foundation of self-love. Yoga goes much deeper than a physical practice - it provides us with Yamas and Niyamas, which can be seen as the ethical foundation of yoga. The Yamas provide us with guidance and wisdom on caring for ourselves and others without limiting us, rather they invite us to live more openly and harmoniously.

We will explore self-care through a trauma-informed lens drawing upon self-regulation tools, research on stress, and nervous system awareness. Building on this knowledge, we will create a foundation where you will begin to understand how your unique body and inner system responds to stress. Embodiment practices such as breath work, movement practices, meditation, restorative rest, expressive art will be shared to cultivate a deeper connection between body, mind and heart.

This healing-centered weekend will also prioritize spaciousness in the sun, stargazing, enjoying group activities and falling asleep under the clear night sky at 5,000 feet. We will soak up comfortable glamping accommodations and yummy catering throughout the weekend together.

What’s Included:
- 2 nights comfortable glamping accommodation
- Nourishing vegetarian meals for the weekend

trauma-informed yoga & facilitation training

A three day in-person immersive retreat infused program with an emphasis on experiential learning which is supported by structured self-study to create a strong foundational understanding of embodied trauma-informed facilitation through experiential learning, a depth of practices & group connection.

The training program aims to prepare yoga teachers and other space holders to take their practice off the mat in a trauma-informed way. The training materials will be supportive for those going into community-based settings as well as for anyone holding space for others. We believe we should all be trauma-informed, especially when there are inherent power dynamics at play.

We will be sharing 6-hours of structured self-study materials created with care and intention to prepare us to gather in-person for a nourishing weekend of experiential learning together.

Registration launching soon on The Yoga Mandala Project website.

I find myself full of love and inspiration as I emerge from an incredible nine day retreat. I have been filled with such nourishment, rest and love… such spaciousness, grace, and support.

During this time I have experienced a surge of creativity and passion and have decided to officially launch my Patreon site in order to bring these nourishing tools to the world in an accessible and supportive way.

In order to celebrate and honor this, I will be hosting a nourishing session to celebrate this experience and to offer these tools and practices that I have been so blessed to receive. I would like to invite you to join us for gentle movement and a restful practice of yoga nidra.

Don’t know what yoga nidra is? No worries! There is nothing to be done and no way to do this practice wrong. I will softly guide you through a gentle meditation inviting in rest in all that you are.
I look forward to sharing from this place of nourishment and hope to be in circle with you soon. I’ll add the details below. Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or uncertainties.
